Garden design and creation

Dreaming up and bringing to life a truly beautiful and harmonious garden lies in the understanding of the corresponding relationships between people, spaces, shapes, materials and colour.

Jo has been designing landscapes professionally for over 30 years, in both the residential and commercial spheres. What makes her work unique and constantly sought after is her unparalleled knowledge of plants, soil and the Highveld climate combined with her visual aesthetic which has been honed over her many years as an artist.

THE PROCESS TO HAPPINESS

INITIAL MEETING

Jo will do an initial onsite consultation to view the location, hear your requirements and discuss ideas based on your lifestyle, architectural, cosmetic and maintenance preferences.

The range of factors considered include privacy issues, the lay of the land, drainage, existing plants, the type of soil and terrain in the garden, the functionality and aesthetics of the garden, existing structures that can be utilised and any constraints that could affect the proposed works.

DESIGN

Jo will use all the information gleaned to create design concepts that will then be presented to you for feedback and sign-off.

The concepts will include all information required for the project, including hand-drawn plans, colours, material suggestions, details of proposed plant species, Pete’s irrigation system designs and a breakdown of costs and design fees so you’re fully prepared for the implementation phase.
