Consultations

Consultation requests generally come from people with established gardens looking for advice only, or new homeowners trying to plan a garden but who don’t have the budget for full design and implementation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

THE INITIAL CONSULTATION:

  • A walk through the site to discuss goals and concerns.
  • Site analysis, specifically focusing on any problem areas, drainage and existing plants.
  • Formulating a clever use of space and design to fully utilise the property or area.
  • Plant recommendations based on aesthetics and amounts of sun, shade and water.
  • General advice.
  • Creating hand-drawn plans if desired.
  • Procurement and delivery of plants.

All local consultations are charged at R850 per hour. This fee will be waived if it’s later decided that Young Garden Design will get involved with full design and/or implementation.
